What exactly are modular homes? 

A modular home is 80-90% built in a climate controlled factory. The sections of the home are then transferred to the home-buyer’s property and assembled on-site. 

Because modular homes are also known as prefabricated homes, it’s common for them to have the stereotype of holding a lower quality when compared to stick built homes. This is far from the truth, as modular homes are constructed under the same safety building codes as site-built homes, and are found to be inspected more often, both by the manufacturer and by our staff of trained representatives.

The exterior walls of a modular home are built inside a temperature controlled facility with durable materials and products. These are the same materials that are used to construct a site-build home, however the difference being the home is not openly exposed to weather elements during construction. This helps prevent damage during the modular home building process and allows the build to be completed faster. 

The modular home’s exterior walls are crafted with traditionally-sized studs framed on 16” centers, meaning the home is built with your family’s changing needs in mind. To add to this, both the door and windows feature structural headers for added security and functionality. 

When constructing modular homes, providing a comfortable area of relaxation with no worry of safety hazards is our highest concern. This is why all electrical wiring is covered by steel plates which then passes through wall studs, ensuring safety and preventing damage.
